Does the app replace a therapist?

No. An Other Perspective is a thinking companion, not a treatment tool. If you are going through a difficult time, please consult a healthcare professional. In case of acute distress, contact emergency services in your country (in the United Kingdom: Samaritans on 116 123, free, 24/7; in the United States: 988).

Are my thoughts read by anyone?

Your texts are sent to the Anthropic (Claude) API to generate the perspectives. Anthropic commits not to use the contents received via their API to train their models. If you explicitly request e-mail sending, a copy is also sent to our administrative address for quality follow-up. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I delete my account and my data?

You can delete all your activity by uninstalling the app: the journal and history are stored on your device and disappear with the app. For complete deletion including your account and any copies, write to us at appunautreregard@gmail.com with the mention "account deletion".

How do I export my reflections?

You can send a session by e-mail at any time from the app (share icon). For a full export of your journal, write to us at the address above.

On which devices does the app run?

An Other Perspective is available on iPhone and iPad (iOS 13 and later) as well as on Android (Android 7.0 and later). An internet connection is required to generate perspectives.

I encountered a bug or unexpected behaviour

Write to us with a brief description of what you were doing and what happened. If possible, attach a screenshot and mention your device model and OS version. This helps us reproduce and fix the issue quickly.

How do I suggest a new source of insight?

Your suggestions are very welcome. Write to us with the name of the author, current or tradition you would like to see included, and a few lines on what it brings. We review all proposals.
